A spool of Jungle Vine® cord is a great way to experiment with this strong thread made from a wild-growing kudzu vine.  Try it to knit or crochet.  Study images of how the Khmu make the Jungle Vine® fabric used in crafting a Nature Bag and see whether you can learn their technique.  The Khmu also use Jungle Vine® cord to tie the umbilical cords of babies.   But please consult with your health care provider before adding it to your home-birthing plans.  Wherever you have an application requiring strong, mold-resistant, vegan, organic string that has virtually no carbon footprint because its fiber is hand gathered wild-growing kudzu, consider Jungle Vine® cord.  We've used it as dental floss.  Or use it as a novelty.  Amaze your friends by showing them scenes from our videos where the Khmu women open the kudzu stem, extract the fiber that's inside and, after drying it briefly in the air, use their hands and legs to transform the thin ribbon into Jungle Vine® cord.  Then give a sample as a souvenir.  Jungle Vine® cord is sold wrapped on a peg that has been whittled by hand from a Laotian twig or in a ball.  Most spools are shipped directly from Laos, so allow 45 days for delivery.  There's approximately 15 meters (600 inches) of cord on a spool.  Contact us for pricing of larger quantities.
